Our Work
Project Description
We've completed nearly a dozen projects for a highly sought-out interior designer Benjamin Cruz in New York City. Here are a few photos from the project located at West 87th Street and West End Ave. Benjamin utilizes our fabric ceiling system to get complete freedom over the overhead lighting possibilities in New York City condos with concrete ceilings. Great design begins with good lighting. Good lighting begins with stretch fabric ceilings.

A new owner of a high-rise condo in Roosevelt Island came to us with a problem: they had concrete popcorn ceilings without any overhead lighting. Our installer designed the fabric ceiling system to accommodate 50 recessed LED lights throughout the apartment. The lighting engineer planned a dimmable lighting system and built three custom low-voltage electric panels with 18 transformers to power the LED lighting grid. Electrical panels were placed discretely in the closets, and seven new dimmer switches were installed to control seven lighting zones.
Data cables were also installed and hidden behind of the stretch fabric ceiling to reach new outlets and a new wall-mounted flat screen TV to facilitate modern living with internet access everywhere!
It is amazing that such transformation was only possible because of the stretch fabric system which covered the outdated and cracked popcorn ceiling!

The designer and the build-team asked us to create two ceilings in the elevator lobbies with a black mirror finish to reflect two extra-large on-wall LED displays. This conference room in Los Angeles was outfitted by our LA installation partner CeilDex. They installed AWAKE Audio Canvas for the media production client and utilized 1" fiberglass acoustic absorber panels behind the fabric to achieve NRC 0.85. Made with 100% polyester, Audio Canvas has a micro-perforated texture allowing for the sound to pass through into the sound-absorbing backing.
With Audio Canvas fabric, we can create modern and SEAMLESS acoustic ceilings and walls up to 16'6" wide.

Perfect & beautiful stretch fabric ceiling.

Textured ceilings, commonly referred to as "popcorn" ceilings, are often loathed by homeowners. They are difficult to clean and paint, and they reduce the amount of natural light in the room. Removing all this texture from the ceiling is time-consuming and expensive.
Want to get rid of your popcorn ceilings quickly, safely, and without clutter? Instead of removing the popcorn ceiling, we offer a simple and elegant solution to this problem - stretch fabric ceiling! Stretch ceilings will hide all the irregularities, and give your room a fresh & updated look! The old ceiling was difficult to clean and paint, and looked ugly. The new fabric ceiling is perfectly smooth, washable, and looks just like painted drywall!

Stretch fabric system was a perfect acoustic solution for the high-end audio showroom. The acoustic grid tiles were making the listening room outdated and unsophisticated. The owners were looking for a slick, modern and seamless finish, but they wanted to keep the acoustic properties of the rooms and upgrade the 2’ x 2’ fluorescent lighting to the recess can lights. The contractor installed Studio Canvas fabric right under the grid tiles. Studio Canvas has a rating of 0.85 RNC with 1” attenuation backer, so the sound-absorbing properties of the original acoustic grid ceiling were fully utilized.

NY Pediatric and Adult Dentistry came to us with the request to help them create a welcoming and comfortable environment for both children and grown-ups. We worked with the interior design team to create one-of-a-kind fabric wall coverings for their treatment rooms and common areas. Because our fabrics are washable and the prints are super durable, their choice was obvious—UV-printed Awake Premier canvas for seamless high-resolution graphic wall murals. And because UV-prints do not fade over time, Dr. Cooper's patients are still enjoying bright and sharp colors even 8 years later!

Little Scholars Preschool & Kindergarten of Guttenberg, New Jersey, was a place where noise from the playing children was affecting the wellbeing of all kids and their teachers. The students had a hard time hearing their teachers amidst the noise and teachers were forced to talk louder, adding even more to the unhealthy noise levels. The school administration decided to invest into an acoustic ceiling which would improve the speech intelligibility in the learning space but keep the bright white monolithic finish across the ceiling. Studio Canvas has an acoustic rating of .85 RNC when used with 1” sound absorbing insulation. It also has a highly light-reflective white finish, which helps to enjoy the natural daylight longer.

The Wild Center in Upstate New York came to us with a challenging task of creating a ceiling for their new exhibit. We handled the creative collaboration with the Wild Center director and the story artist responsible for the vision to recreate a Native American view of Creation. The ceiling was to be epicenter of the story. We digitalized the original canvas paintings, created patterns, and worked to make a 50' x 30' ceiling of complex shape into a reality.

We installed several fabric ceilings at 555 North Ave in Fort Lee, New Jersey. We have many satisfied customers in that building who continue to refer us to their neighbors for covering their popcorn ceilings and installing recessed LED lighting in concrete ceilings. This particular customer on the fifth floor of the building had an existing large crown molding - a beautiful feature that they wanted to keep. Traditionally, in the absence of crown molding, we attach the track to the walls because the popcorn ceiling is an uneven surface for new ceiling installation. In this case, we added a plywood nailer to the ceiling in order to attach our track to the ceiling adjacent to the existing crown molding. The result is a beautiful ornate molding that works fabulously with a modern fabric ceiling.

Here’s what our customer has to say:
“Wonderful installers. Fast, clean, polite duo. Could not have been nicer. The cost was worth it not to have the dust and ongoing process involved in re-plastering the scraped ceilings. I've been talking it up with neighbors!”

This cape cod style house had old popcorn ceilings throughout the house. The contractor was able to install the new stretch ceilings and upgrade the lighting with the new LED recess lights while the customer was on vacation!
Here's what the homeowner shared about the installation:
“We bought 2 story cape cod style house in shoreline CT few years ago and one of the only things we disliked about the house was the popcorn ceilings throughout the whole residence. We received Pavel's contact info from Popcorn Ceiling Solutions and inquired about the process. He was highly professional throughout all our interactions. His response time was never longer than 24 hours. He drove out from NYC to our home 2.5 hours away to do all the measurements in order to give us the pricing. The pricing was reasonable in terms of making a major improvement to your home that increases your equity and the resale value. We agreed for this project to take place while we were away on vacation. We left the house without moving or covering any furniture and upon return the following week all of the ceilings were complete and the house was in a mint condition. Popcorn Ceiling Solution did not only get rid of the ugly popcorn ceilings, but it also solved our problem with the bad lighting on the 1st floor of the house since we got 4 dimmer ceiling lights in each of the living rooms. When the team had questions throughout the process, Pavel always called me to discuss my options to make sure we get exactly what we want. His attention to details, excellent planning skills, and describing various options with their unique benefits made me very happy with the results. I always felt comfortable dealing with this team and never felt like I was being sold on extra things that I don't need. It's nice to deal with professionals who treat you like family! Great job!"
